The former players are excited and feel a renewed connection because of his high energy and engaging style. In a short amount of time, Coach U has done an outstanding job of bringing excitement back to the Butler Football Family. All of us feel energized with all that is going on with the football team, including bringing the alumni back for the spring game. It was awesome seeing old teammates, coaches and being involved again with Butler football. "I want to thank Ken LaRose, Coach Uremovich and the entire football staff for an incredible day on Saturday. I'm excited again about Butler football." What I really like is his effort to engage us old guys and get us back into the program. He demands a ton from his players but doesn't forget there needs to be some fun along the way.

Here is what some alumni had to say about the 2023 Spring Game: The day came to a close with red zone work followed by the offense taking on the defense heading in from the 35-yard line. Once the offense and defense came together to go head-to-head, the coaches went into a sudden change situation that simulates a change of possession after a turnover. Segment 3 featured the inside run game and during Segment 4 the Bulldogs would air out the football with some 7-on-7. The Bulldogs opened the day with the field goal unit and then broke into individual drills by position. Those seniors did everything we asked, everything. We also had our first senior class there as alumni which was very special to our staff and myself. They are the history of the program and seeing them together sharing old stories is always fun. "It was great to see all of the alumni in the end zone during the scrimmage," Uremovich added.
